Abnormal psychology refers to the study and treatment of mental and behavioural disorders that emerge within or as a result of advanced technological environments, including virtual realities, artificial intelligence integration, and enhanced cognitive states.

The primary focus of abnormal psychology in this era is the classification and treatment of disorders that arise from or are exacerbated by high-level cognitive and neural enhancements. These enhancements, which include neural implants, memory augmentation, AI-assisted cognition or virtual environments, have led to the development of new psychopathologies, which it aims at curing - or at the least limiting.
