Antimuonics
Antimuonics is dedicated to the study of antimuons, the antimatter counterparts of muons. The study of antimuons includes several key areas of research:
- investigating the production and decay mechanisms of antimuons: understanding how antimuons are generated and how they decay can provide insights into the fundamental symmetries of particle interactions and the behaviour of antimatter. Of particularly interest is comparing the properties of antimuons with those of muons to explore potential asymmetries and violations of fundamental symmetries.
- exploration of potential applications of antimuons in technology: antimuons can have applications in advanced imaging techniques or in the development of new types of particle accelerators. Additionally, the study of antimuons will most certainly contribute to the understanding fundamental questions about the universe, such as the matter-antimatter asymmetry observed in cosmology.
