Biosynthotropy

Yeah they're called LAINs. They sell a very specific kind at Chaser's Station. It gets implanted and can starts extracting stuff from the environment around you to sustain you internally. Karik Ek's, xeno-cristallographer and depth scout

Biosynthotropy involves the design and manufacturing of biologically active matrices that include living organisms capable of producing or modifying nutrient compounds. These matrices often make use of genetically modified microorganisms, such as bacteria or yeast, that are programmed to synthesise or enhance specific nutrients. Additionally, dynamic and smart bio-systems are integrated into the nutrient matrix to allow for real-time adjustments based on physiological feedback.

The field spans several domains, including healthcare, agriculture, survival and food technology. In each of them, it helps maximise nutritional value, improved bioavailability, and real-time adaptability to a body or a community's dynamic nutritional needs.

Research

Tier3.700A decimal number between 0.0 and ~12.0 indicating the overall level of "advancement" of the science
TypeAppliedPure sciences are focused on research and the improvement of knowledge. Applied sciences are too, but to a lesser extent and grant access to more concrete outcomes such as blueprints, governance, and others.
