Can you predict where the next wave is going to hit the shore? No?
Neither can I - not yet Alice Bob - Physicist, Author and Unlucky named person
Chaos physics explores the deterministic yet unpredictable behaviours of complex systems. It seeks to extract meaning and probability from the initial apparent randomness of systems, that results from the extreme number of interactions between their individual parts.
Chaos physics studies how such interaction-driven events self-organise into patterns or structures that are not predictable through determinism alone. This concept challenges the notion of cause and effect in physical laws by revealing certain events as part of a complex web of causality rather than simple cause-and-effect relationships between variables.
Research
| Tier | 5.100 | A decimal number between 0.0 and ~12.0 indicating the overall level of "advancement" of the science |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Pure | Pure sciences are focused on research and the improvement of knowledge. Applied sciences are too, but to a lesser extent and grant access to more concrete outcomes such as blueprints, governance, and others. |
