Cold fusion

Cold fusion is a subtype of fusion leveraging advanced materials that exhibit highly localised quantum tunnelling effects, allowing nuclei to bypass the Coulomb barrier without extreme energy input. These fuels, based on quantum-locked metallic lattices and spin-polarised conductive fields, provide the structural and electromagnetic environment necessary to catalyse fusion at low temperatures.

The small scale and resulting minimal radiation output enable compact (even portable) fusion generators, extremely decentralised energy networks and virtually infinite propulsion fuel for interstellar exploration.

Tier3.700A decimal number between 0.0 and ~12.0 indicating the overall level of "advancement" of the science
TypeAppliedPure sciences are focused on research and the improvement of knowledge. Applied sciences are too, but to a lesser extent and grant access to more concrete outcomes such as blueprints, governance, and others.
