Egosynthesis
Egosynthesis is the deliberate creation, enhancement and integration of self-aware systems, whether biological, digital or hybrid. This multidisciplinary field combines neuroscience, artificial intelligence, cognitive science and biotechnology to design and refine entities capable of complex self-perception, decision-making and adaptive learning.
The initial building block of Egosynthesis is Self-Referential Systems, systems possessing a coherent sense of self-reference, introspection and self modulation. The level at which entities can benefit from such a self-reference is variable and can be controlled, thus resulting in "grades", themselves the outcome of neural networks cognitive algorithms and feedback loops engineered towards certain goals, roles or ranks.
