Hyperspace exhibits fluid-like properties thanks to which its density can be modulated to affect various operational parameters. Hyperspace variable density intentional alteration of these density levels to optimise conditions for travel, energy transfer, and material manipulation. By so doing, it is possible to manage the resistance experienced by objects moving through hyperspace and to control the interactions between hyperspace fields and conventional matter.

One of the major applications of hyperspace variable density is in optimising spacecraft H-navigation systems. By adjusting the density of hyperspace along the spacecraft's trajectory, navigators and astrogators can reduce the effective resistance encountered during travel. This results in smoother and more efficient hyperspace jumps, reducing travel time and energy consumption.
