Macro engineering

Macroengineering is the field of designing, planning, and constructing infrastructure projects that address large to stellar scale challenges -thus often offering transformative capabilities to those enjoying its benefits. Such projects, often spanning multiple disciplines, focus on manipulating large-scale systems, resources or environments to achieve specific objectives. The field integrates advanced engineering, environmental science, systems analysis, economics, and policy-making, emphasising sustainability, technological feasibility, and societal impact.

Large-scale engineering project include energy infrastructure, transportation systems, important orbital/micrograv projects, hydrological infrastructure, etc.

Research

Tier1.000A decimal number between 0.0 and ~12.0 indicating the overall level of "advancement" of the science
TypeAppliedPure sciences are focused on research and the improvement of knowledge. Applied sciences are too, but to a lesser extent and grant access to more concrete outcomes such as blueprints, governance, and others.
