Muonic fusion

Muonic Fusion is a nuclear fusion process in which muons, rather than electrons, replace the normal electron cloud around atomic nuclei, facilitating a much higher probability of fusion reactions occurring at lower temperatures and pressures than traditionally required. Muons are elementary particles similar to electrons but with a much greater mass (approximately 207 times heavier). This increased mass allows the muons to orbit much closer to the atomic nucleus, reducing the repulsive forces between positively charged nuclei (due to Coulomb repulsion), thus facilitating fusion at lower energies.
