Planetary engineering

Planetary engineering is the practice of altering targeted elements or aspects of planetary environments on a macro scale to make them habitable or optimise them for specific uses. The field specifically excludes the following planetary components: atmosphere and soil; those are covered by sibling techniques and sciences, such as Terraforming.

The endeavours of this fields are always of an extremely large scale: mountain ranges, oceans, planetary core and others. Such components often require expertise from several other fields before they can modified and controlled.

Research

Tier4.200A decimal number between 0.0 and ~12.0 indicating the overall level of "advancement" of the science
TypePurePure sciences are focused on research and the improvement of knowledge. Applied sciences are too, but to a lesser extent and grant access to more concrete outcomes such as blueprints, governance, and others.
