Pentaquark chemistry
The Force is strong with this one. Old Earth second-rate 2D flick
Pentaquarks are exotic hadrons composed of four quarks and one antiquark - thus differing from conventional baryons (composed of three quarks) and mesons (composed of one quark and one antiquark).
The presence of an additional quark and antiquark pair introduces new forces at the quantum level: these forces lead to binding states with unusual symmetry properties and potential energy minima, making pentaquarks candidates for creating matter with exceptional stability.
Pentaquarks present unique interactions and bonding properties that open the potential for new families of materials, exhibiting sometimes alien properties.
