Rejuvenation

My, you don't look a day over 130! Common joke - circa BF450

Rejuvenation is the reversal of biological ageing processes through a combination of gene therapies, cellular regeneration techniques, and molecular restoration protocols. The field relies on the repair and replacement of damaged cells and tissues, restoring youthful functionality across multiple systems, with the exception of the brain. Central to this technology is the manipulation of telomeres - the protective caps on chromosomes - which are extended or stabilised to prevent cellular senescence and decay.

Rejuvenation therapies commonly use induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to regenerate tissues, allowing for the replacement of aged or damaged organs with bioengineered counterparts. Additionally, nanomedical interventions target intracellular structures, repairing or replacing malfunctioning mitochondria and other critical organelles that degrade over time. This intracellular repair is coordinated by nanoscale assemblers capable of identifying cellular damage at the molecular level, ensuring precision in the restoration process.
