Synthlife
Synthlife, or synthetic life, focuses on two main subjects:
- creating entirely new life forms through the precise engineering of biological components, often from scratch, rather than merely modifying existing organisms
- understanding the underlying principles of life emergence, to try and reproduce and control it
Synthlife combines principles from synthetic biology, computational genomics, advanced molecular biology and atomic assembly capabilities to design and construct new organisms with predetermined characteristics and functionalities.

| Tier | 7.700 | A decimal number between 0.0 and ~12.0 indicating the overall level of "advancement" of the science |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Pure | Pure sciences are focused on research and the improvement of knowledge. Applied sciences are too, but to a lesser extent and grant access to more concrete outcomes such as blueprints, governance, and others. |
