Synthaptics
Synthaptics studies the reproduction of synaptic, consciousness-enabled activity. Although such mimetic reproduction is based on the observation of biological-inspired substrates, it ultimately aims to study and engineer new types of substrates, characterised by different, more evolved principles to host new types of consciousness.
